Cirrus training
The school's website describes it as the Cirrus Training Centre for New South Wales, part of Cirrus Aircraft's global network of training centres, and a Cirrus Platinum Partner. It has two Cirrus Standardised Instructor Pilots (CSIP), one of them a Platinum CSIP, and five Training Centre Instructors (TCI). Nige Clark was named International CSIP of the Year for 2023 and also flies the first return to service flight for SR series aircraft arriving in Australia, according to the site.
The Cirrus conversion page describes the Cirrus transition course for licensed pilots: around 10 hours of flying (6 minimum), 10 cross country legs, 20 landings and 8 hours of briefings, with theory on the Cirrus Approach online portal and a certificate from Cirrus Aircraft on completion. Topics include Cirrus operating characteristics, avionics and autopilot management, decision making, cross country procedures, abnormal and emergency procedures, CAPS scenarios and PFD and MFD use. An en route option combines the conversion with a trip to regional or interstate destinations.
The Cirrus fleet listed in October 2026 includes a 2022 SR22 G6 (VH-EIG), a 2022 SR20 G6 (VH-YQB) and SR20 G3 and SR22 G2 aircraft for training or hire. The school also introduces prospective owners to the SR20, SR22 and SR22T.
