About Avionica USA

Avionica USA is an avionics training school. It prepares people for careers as avionics technicians. Avionics means the electronic systems in an aircraft. The school is also known as Avionica Puerto Rico and as the Avionics Technician Association of Orlando, Inc. It says it has operated since 1991 and is organized under Florida law.

The school lists a few training programs. The main one is the Avionics Technician Program. Others include Surface Mount Technology training, NCATT training and support for FCC license providers. Surface mount technology is a way to place small parts on circuit boards. The programs cover wiring, testing, troubleshooting and installation. They also cover aircraft electronics, communication systems and safety procedures.

The courses stress hands-on practice. Students learn to read aircraft blueprints. They study electrical, electronic and communication systems. They also learn installation, inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance steps that follow industry standards. The school says the aim is to produce graduates who are ready to work. Students can also get help with FCC license preparation, resume writing and job placement.

The teachers come from many parts of aviation. The school names Boeing, the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, the Puerto Rico National Guard, Eastern Airlines and NASA among the places its team has worked. The team has worked in military, commercial, civil, corporate and sport aviation.

In 2016 the school formed a partnership with the University of Central Florida's Division of Continuing Education. Together they built and delivered an Avionics Technician Training Program.

The school lists training sites in Kissimmee, Florida, and in Fort Lauderdale, where classes take place in a hangar. It supports English and Spanish speaking students. International candidates are asked to contact the school directly.

The website has forms to request more information about each program. It also lists office hours on weekdays.
