About Aviation Creations

Aviation Creations builds custom leather interiors for light aircraft and business jets from its workshop in Mesa, Arizona. Seats, side panels, carpets, headliners, seat belts, pockets and wrapped yokes, in more than 400 leathers, for Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, Cirrus and Citation owners. The company calls its way of working "assisted do it yourself": you ship the parts, they rebuild them, you fit the finished interior yourself.

How it works

  1. Design it. You work one on one with an in-house designer. Send photos of your interior and exterior, and the design team walks you through materials, colours, stitching, perforation and textures: seats, side panels, carpet, headliner, cup holders, custom pockets, leather wrapped yokes and polished hardware.
  2. Send it. The aircraft stays in your hangar. Seat removal usually takes under two minutes a seat, and side panels are held by a few screws. A whole interior comes out in an afternoon and fits in two or three boxes.
  3. They build it. Old seats are stripped to the frame. Frames are repainted, new seat bladders are built, and FAA approved multi-density foam is hand shaped for lumbar, thigh and bolster support. Your old side panels are used as templates, and the flimsy factory backing is replaced with light aluminium, which allows arm rests with cup holders and custom pockets.
  4. You install it. Carpets arrive cut for your aircraft, side panels with holes matching the originals, seats ready to slide into place.

What they make

  • Seats: rebuilt from the frame up, with FAA approved foam, in any leather, stitching, embroidery or perforation pattern.
  • Side trim panels: aluminium backed, matched to the seats, with secured arm rests and integrated cup holders. If your aircraft still has ashtrays, this is the upgrade.
  • Carpet and seat belts: hundreds of colours and textures, cut for your aircraft, with new belts and chrome, gold or graphite buckles.
  • Headliners: new suede headliners for elegance and insulation.
  • Perforation: an in-house perforation machine for custom patterns that tie seats and panels together.
  • Other customs: pockets anywhere you want them, leather wrapped yokes, embroidery of your make, model or logo, custom stitching.

Aircraft

Recent work shown on the company's site and social pages includes Cessna 172 and 182, Beechcraft Bonanza, Baron, King Air and 1900D, Cirrus, and Cessna Citation cabins, including a Citation Bravo carpet refit. Corporate jet upgrades are a separate line of work from the general aviation interiors.

Questions owners ask

Do I have to fly the aircraft to Mesa? No. You remove the seats, panels and carpet and ship them. The aircraft stays where it is.

Is the foam approved? The company states it uses FAA approved multi-density foam, shaped by hand for each seat.

Can I keep my design simple? Yes. The design is yours, from a plain single colour to full perforation and embroidery.

How do I get a price? Send photos of your current interior and the aircraft type through the quote form on this page or on the company's site.
