Aviair

Aviair is a regional airline, charter operator and scenic air tour company with its head office at Kununurra Airport in the East Kimberley, Western Australia, and large operations in Broome and Karratha. It was founded as Slingair by Kerry Slingsby in Kununurra in 1984. Since April 2016 it has been locally owned by Michael McConachy (Managing Director) and Geoff Hamilton, who also co-own the helicopter operator HeliSpirit.

• RFDS clinic flights, remote area services, and search and rescue flights
• Aerial geophysical work and photography flights
• Scenic air tours over the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park, the Mitchell Falls, the Cockburn Range and the Kimberley coast, plus package tours with helicopter flights and Lake Argyle and Ord River cruises
• Regular services in the East Kimberley; its Inter Regional Flight Network routes moved to the Nexus Airlines brand in July 2023

Fleet

The company profile lists 33 aircraft, including Pilatus PC-12 single engine turbines, Beechcraft B200 King Air twin turbines, Cessna 208 Caravans, a Beechcraft Baron, Cessna 210s and GA8 Airvans. All aircraft are air conditioned.
