Australian Aviation Detailers

Australian Aviation Detailers is an aircraft cleaning and detailing business based at Cairns General Aviation Airport in Queensland. It was established in 1989 to clean and detail floatplanes in the Whitsunday Islands, and it moved to Cairns in the mid-1990s. It now serves aircraft owners and maintenance operators throughout Queensland, including regional airlines, air ambulance operators and helicopter and charter companies. The company is an approved sub-contractor to a CASA approved facility and has full airport security clearance.

Cabin services

• Interior refresh, including polishing windows, tidying seat belts, vacuuming carpets, wiping overhead lockers and deodorising the cabin
• Cleaning of roof and wall linings, floor coverings, galley, toilet and entry areas
• Carpet extraction to restore pile and appearance and reduce odours and carpet rot, which is common in the tropics, plus carpet repair or replacement on request
• Upholstery, seat and seat belt cleaning for leather, vinyl, sheepskin and fabric, using a mobile shampoo unit
• Cockpit cleaning with dust-repellent, anti-static tools
• Fire blocking of leather, curtains, carpets and aircraft fabrics
• Leather cleaning, rehydration and conditioning
• Airside lavatory service

Exterior services

• On-site aircraft washing for aircraft up to a Super King Air 1900, and for large aircraft up to a Boeing 747 at the international terminal by booking
• Exterior paint protection against UV, oxidation, bird droppings and fuel stains
