ATA Tow Tractors

ATA srl, trading as ATA Tow Tractors, builds towing tractors for airports and industry at its plant in Modena, Italy. The company was founded in 1952 by Ageo Bergamini, who started by assembling small tractors for brick kilns. Its customers today include airlines, Italian and foreign airport operators, ports in Europe, North Africa and Asia, and large industrial plants.

Airport range

Alongside its own tractors, ATA supplies Hobart ground power units, Trilectron air conditioning and air start units and Lektro electric towbarless aircraft tugs, plus spare parts for GPUs, toilet and potable water units and air starters. In 2025 it presented its first hydrogen-powered tractor, designed for cargo with a towing capacity of up to 50 tonnes, and the H2TOW hydrogen retrofit kit.
