About ARCS Aviation

ARCS Aviation builds interactive training and operations tools for aviation and military customers. The company was founded in 2012. It develops training systems, augmented and virtual reality applications, and updates old training materials into modern forms. Its clients include the United States government and international commercial airlines.

The company lists three main areas of work. The first is extended reality, which covers virtual, augmented and mixed reality. The second is interactive courseware development. The third is artificial intelligence and machine learning. Its team includes subject matter experts, software developers and technology specialists.

ARCS was started by its CEO, Barjes Alotaibi. He worked for more than 30 years at Aramco, including 20 years in aviation. His roles ranged from Chief Pilot to Fleet Manager. He founded ARCS because he saw that technology could improve training and cut cost.

The company began by making interactive multimedia instruction for airlines and aviation programs. In 2019 it won its first SBIR contract with the United States Air Force. SBIR is a government program that funds small business research. This led to two branches, one for civilian clients and one for the Department of Defense. ARCS has since won more SBIR and STTR contracts and worked with the Air Force, Navy and Army.

The civilian branch offers training tools to airlines, maintenance shops and other groups. The company says it now also serves military training needs beyond aviation and aerospace. It works with airlines, aerospace groups, military training institutes and schools. The site notes that it is a certified SBA HUBZone company.

The site shows customer comments about its products. One product is Ekanos, a training tool for aircraft maintenance schools. Another is the ARCS Paint ScannAR, which checks paint and coating thickness on aircraft. A third supports non-destructive inspection training for Air Force aircraft. The company also lists custom programming and computer systems design among its services.

The ARCS Aviation website has pages on its technologies, its customers and its history. It also has a contact form that accepts file attachments. Visitors can use it to ask about a training or operations project.
