Altura Airlines

Altura Airlines is a majority Indigenous owned private charter airline established in Western Australia, with its office in Rivervale, Perth. It flies passenger charters for the mining and resources sector, government and regional communities across remote and regional Australia. The airline was founded through a partnership between Dr Amanda Healy, a Wonnarua woman and co-founder of Warrikal, and Michael Evans and Phil Garcia of Maroomba Airlines. Maroomba Airlines acts as Altura's management company.

Fleet

The fleet runs from Dash 8 turboprops to the Airbus A320. The A320 is configured for up to 180 passengers. The Dash 8-100, Dash 8-300 and Dash 8-400 can operate into unpaved runways. Where other aircraft types or capacities are needed, Altura sources them through its extended fleet.

Community

Altura aims to create training and employment pathways for Indigenous people in aviation and the resources industry. It supports entry level training and mentoring, partners with organisations that build Indigenous capability, and offers on the job experience in aircraft operations, logistics and administration. Its aircraft artwork was designed by Nani Creative and Wongutha artist Kevin Wilson.
