About Alaska Air Carriers Association

The Alaska Air Carriers Association, or AACA, is a trade group for commercial aviation in Alaska. It was established in 1966 by air carriers in Southeast Alaska. It is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit based in Anchorage, Alaska.

The association's members include more than 40 air carriers and over 40 associate members. The site says members include major and regional airlines, air tour operators, single pilot operators, aviation maintenance companies and UAV companies.

The stated mission is to protect and perpetuate statewide access to commercial air travel. The site says the association promotes the welfare of members through advocacy, cooperation and education. It also says it helps members keep up with new regulations.

Alaska depends on commercial aviation for supplies, groceries, mail, tourism and passenger transportation. The site says air service is the lifeline of many cities, towns and rural villages. The association says it carries member views to the FAA, the NTSB, the State of Alaska and the federal government.

Members can use a member benefits page, which includes group health insurance for employees. The site also offers an advertising option for aviation businesses and a way to make donations.

The association holds an annual convention. The site announces the 2027 convention for February 16 to 19 at the Hilton Anchorage hotel. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Alaska time. Call or text +1 907 277 0071. In-person visits need an appointment at the office on Merrill Field Drive in Anchorage.
