AL Drones

AL Drones is a consultancy in Brazil that helps makers and operators of professional drones deal with aviation rules. It supports companies that want to certify their aircraft and run drone operations in a legal way.

The company says many drone businesses struggle with complex rules. Their project may not be certified, they may not know whether they meet the rules, or they may not be seen as professional operators. AL Drones helps them find a path through the rules and win the authorisations that let their drones fly and their operations grow.

Certification consulting is for manufacturers. It helps them get their aircraft approved by aviation authorities so the aircraft can fly. AL Drones says it has won 75 percent of the design authorisations issued so far by ANAC, the Brazilian civil aviation agency.

Operations consulting is for operators. It helps them grow a professional operation while staying inside the rules and avoiding risk. The company says it has helped more than 200 unmanned aircraft fly beyond visual line of sight in Brazil.

Its clients include Quantum-Systems, Wingcopter, Swissdrones, Speedbird Aero and OMNI Helicopters International. Quantum-Systems gained an ANAC design authorisation and widened the use of its products beyond visual line of sight in Brazil. Wingcopter used AL Drones as a local partner to work through local rules. Swissdrones began work in Brazil, which has one of the biggest offshore markets in the world.

Speedbird Aero became the first drone delivery company in Brazil to fly beyond visual line of sight with the help of AL Drones. OMNI Helicopters International grew its offshore transport and inspection work with unmanned aircraft. Companies can book a meeting or use a contact form to reach the consultants.
