About AIS Helicopter

AIS Helicopter is the trading name of PT Abhimantrana Inggita Sembrani. It is an Indonesian aviation service company based in Jakarta. It provides helicopter operations, leasing and mission support for industry, government and humanitarian clients. Its website says the crews are ready around the clock.

The company lists four main service areas. Aircraft leasing covers wet lease, dry lease, project based deployment and mission support leasing. Aircraft trading and procurement covers acquisition, brokerage, procurement support and strategic sourcing. Load operations cover sling load, cargo transport, tactical logistics and remote area support. Mission support covers aerial firefighting, search and rescue, medical evacuation and offshore work.

The site lists eight kinds of missions. These are passenger transport to remote and offshore sites, external sling work, aerial firefighting with Bambi bucket water bombing, aerial survey, search and rescue, medical evacuation, utility support and law enforcement patrol. Aerial survey includes mapping, pipeline patrol and infrastructure monitoring.

The fleet has seven helicopter types. The heavy lift group includes the Airbus AS332L2 Super Puma, which carries up to 24 passengers, and the AS332L1 Super Puma, which carries up to 19. The medium group includes the Aerospatiale SA330J Puma, the Mil Mi-8, the Mi-8 AMT and the Sikorsky S-61. The light utility helicopter is the Airbus AS355 TwinStar, which carries up to 5 passengers.

The company serves oil and gas, mining, forestry and plantations, construction and infrastructure. It also supports government and humanitarian work. The website names Pertamina, BNPB, KLHK, Basarnas, Freeport and TNI and Polri as partners.

AIS Helicopter says it can place aircraft and crews anywhere in the Indonesian islands. It lists coverage in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, Sulawesi, Papua, and Bali, NTB and NTT. Bases or hubs named on its map include Pekanbaru, Palembang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Timika, Surabaya and Bali.

Each mission follows six steps. They are mission inquiry, technical evaluation, operational coordination, aircraft mobilization, mission execution and a post mission review. Clients can send a mission brief through the website form and ask for a plan.
