About Airobotics

Airobotics makes autonomous drone systems for defense, public safety, airports, borders and critical infrastructure. It builds drone in a box systems and counter UAS systems. The website lists a Boston office and an Israeli phone number, so the head office is not clear from the text.

The company has two main systems. Optimus is a drone in a box system for persistent aerial operations. Iron Drone is for controlled interception of other drones. The company says it develops integrated systems that cover the drone, the airbase station, the software and the autonomy as one design. It keeps control of hardware, software and system behavior in house.

The about page gives a timeline. It says it created a drone in a box in 2014, signed Intel as first customer in 2016 and launched Optimus in 2018. It reports a first mining customer in Australia in 2019 and expansion into the UAE in 2022. In 2023 Airobotics joined Ondas and acquired Iron Drone. It says it received type certificate approval for Optimus in 2024 for civil airspace. In 2025 it reports the first operational deployment of Iron Drone Raider at a major international airport.

The site names its design aims as always on autonomy, approval driven development, reliability and safety, and large scale deployment. Sectors served are public safety, homeland security, critical infrastructure and military defense. The leadership page lists a chief executive and vice presidents for research, operations, regulatory affairs, programs and sales. A careers page and a contact form are available.
