Aircraft Interiors Australia is a trimming and upholstery business in Bayswater, Western Australia. It began more than 30 years ago as Perth's Aircraft Upholstery Specialist, traded as AllTrans Trimming from 2011, and now trades under its current name. The company repairs and manufactures interior trim and upholstery for all aircraft types, including helicopters.

Aircraft capabilities

The company repairs and makes airframe interior components, including:

• Restraint assemblies such as seat belts, harnesses, and cargo and equipment restraints
• Interior soft furnishings, including curtains, side panels, headlinings and stowage bags
• Floor coverings such as carpets, lino and plastic
• Seat upholstery, including foams, fireblock covers and dress covers
• Cargo compartment liners that are not composite, and stowage bags
• Thermal and acoustic insulation blankets

It also designs and makes bungs, blanks and ground equipment.

Approvals

The company has put in place procedures to gain approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Current CASA approvals are:

• Part 145, covering repair of interior components for all aircraft types, including those in regular public transport use
• One-off production, covering manufacture of new interior components for all aircraft types

Only aviation compliant materials are used, and audits are carried out on a regular basis.

Other services

The workshop applies its aviation methods to other work. It is approved by the Western Australian Government Department of Transport to repair automotive seat belts by re-webbing, and it does car and boat retrims, roof linings, carpets, boat covers and small sewing repairs.
