Air Express Algeria

Air Express Algeria is an air operator in Algeria. It flies passengers and light cargo, mostly for companies, with offices in Algiers and Hassi Messaoud.

The company offers four main services. VIP transport moves delegations and important people to remote sites and big cities across Algeria. Ground teams help with formalities so that groups get special treatment. Staff transport is aimed at oil and gas companies. The operator serves the main airports in Algeria each day, plus about fifteen oil and gas sites. Its aircraft can drop teams close to their work area, and flights can be set up to fit each client, including times, places and stops.

Medical evacuation is also available. The company has convertible aircraft that carry stretchers for patients and seats for medical staff. Its pilots and aircraft can be ready in 45 minutes to answer an emergency. Flights go to the main hospital centres in Algeria, such as Ghardaia and Algiers. Ground teams can help with airport steps, such as arranging an ambulance.

The fourth service is light cargo, up to two tonnes, to remote sites. The company does not carry dangerous goods. Its network covers all of Algeria and adapts to each request. At the moment the company works only with companies, not with private persons. Its online quote tool asks visitors to say if they are a company, a private person or a liberal profession.

Air Express Algeria holds approvals from two aviation authorities. In 2014 it received EASA Part 145 approval, which covers all of its aircraft maintenance work. In the same year it received approval from the South African Civil Aviation Authority, which covers all of its activities, including maintenance. Each approval followed a detailed audit.

The company launched its website in September 2014, in English and French. In late 2014, African Aerospace magazine ran a two page article on its business model and future plans. The news section, called Flight Tracks, has posts from 2014 to 2016. The company offers a newsletter and a presentation to download.
