Aero-Tow operates manufacturing battery-operated aircraft tugs proudly built in America since 1996.
Founded by Terry Railing, licensed private pilot, who saw need for better way to move small airplanes and started building line of Aero-Tow airplane tugs.
With background in machining, aviation, tool and die model making starting Aero-Tow company was natural fit.
Terry was one of original owners of Chapter 2, machine shop that produced Gettelman Lug-Bug. Also owned and operated True Value Hardware store for several years before starting Aero-Tow.
In 2014, Terry’s wife Kathy joined Aero-Tow full time as licensed private pilot handling bookkeeping and advertising of business. They travel country and attend tradeshows where made great friends and connections over years.
When Terry and Kathy started thinking about retirement, through mutual supplier Aero-Tow connected with Amigo Mobility, battery-operated cart manufacturer in mid-Michigan.
Al and Beth Thieme, founder and owners of Amigo Mobility, met with Terry with instant connection and mutual passion for helping customers find better way.
Amigo Mobility founded in 1968 when Al Thieme invented first motorized mobility cart for family member with walking disability. Former plumbing and heating contractor, Thieme grew business out of garage to 100k sq. ft. facility located across street from original small shop.
Today, Amigo Mobility manufactures variety of battery operated carts and tugs selling to grocery stores such as Walmart, Target and Kroger, to healthcare customers, hospitals, warehouses and industrial facilities.
Amigo Mobility proud to continue Terry and Kathy’s dedication to customers and manufacturing dependable products while keeping name and spirit alive.
