About Aéroclub de Genève

Aéroclub de Genève is a flight school and flying club in Meyrin, Switzerland. It trains pilots to fly aeroplanes and helicopters, and it has done so since 1909. The club calls itself both a school and a club. It is based at an international airport.

The club says it trains the pilots of tomorrow. Its message to would-be pilots is to live their passion or build their career in the air, in an aeroplane or a helicopter. It has an instructor team and a fleet of modern and varied aeroplanes and helicopters.

The club has about 500 members. They include private people and companies. Members can fly the club's aeroplanes and helicopters.

The school offers private and professional pilot licences. It also teaches additional qualifications and licence extensions. There are training courses for instructors, and some courses are open to people from outside the club. Students can use an on-site theory classroom. The school is certified as an approved training organisation, or ATO, by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation.

People who want to try flying can book an introductory flight. These flights are offered in an aeroplane, in a helicopter or as an aerobatic flight. Introductory flight vouchers can be bought and then activated later.
