About Aerobility

Aerobility is a UK registered charity that was founded in 1993. It gives disabled people the chance to fly an aeroplane. Its head office is at Blackbushe Airport in Camberley, Surrey.

The charity has a fleet of four aircraft. It runs flights from Blackbushe and from Tatenhill Airfield in Staffordshire. Flights at Lydd Airport with Lydd Aero Club and at Cornwall Airport Newquay with Flynqy Pilot Training are booked through the Blackbushe office. The text says Aerobility supports nearly 1,000 disabled people each year.

It offers once in a lifetime introductory flights to as many terminally ill and disabled people as possible. It also gives subsidised flying to individuals and to other disability charities. Some people go on to gain a Private Pilot Licence, and others look toward commercial aviation. News on the site mentions a first Junior Aviation Course at Lydd Airport.

Aerobility describes itself as a user led group, run largely by disabled aviators for disabled people. Fundraising lets disabled people fly for a fraction of the commercial rate. The charity also gives advice, knowledge and advocacy to disabled people who want to fly. It says it is the representative body for disabled aviation in the UK. On 14 November 2025 it received the King's Award for Voluntary Service.

The website lists events such as the Aviators Ball on 21 November 2026, a Charity Aircraft Pull on 17 April 2027 and a Wing Walk on 1 July 2027. Visitors can donate online or use the contact form. The Blackbushe office is open Monday to Friday, and the phone number is 0303 303 1230.
