MIL-DTL-5015 Series III connectors

The threaded coupling, environmentally sealed MIL-DTL-5015 Series III connector with rear-removable crimp contacts was developed to replace the earlier solder type. It is intermateable and intermountable with the MIL-DTL-5015 Series I solder type, the MIL-DTL-83723 Series II crimp type and the MIL-DTL-5015 Series II front release type, which allows existing applications to be upgraded with little effort.

• Four receptacle mounting configurations: wall and box mounting square flange, cable connecting and jam nut receptacles with O-ring seals
• Two plug styles: a standard plug with a captivated coupling nut, and a self-locking, anti-decoupling plug that removes the need for safety wiring
• Eighty-eight insert arrangements per MIL-STD-1651, using 1 to 85 contacts in sizes 16, 12, 8, 4 and 0, for wire from 20 gauge to 0 gauge
• Aluminum shells in electroless nickel or olive drab cadmium, passivated stainless steel shells with standard or firewall-rated inserts, and carbon steel shells with firewall inserts
• Operating temperature ranges from minus 55 to plus 175 or plus 200 degrees Celsius, depending on class
• Closed-entry socket inserts, interfacial pin seals, triple wire sealing grommets and a single plastic tool for contact insertion and removal
