Aerios Global Aviation

Aerios Global Aviation (AGA) is a South African helicopter company based at Cape Town International Airport. Its main work is offshore and onshore flying. Its website also lists a 24 hour medevac service. Type: helicopter operator that flies its own aircraft. Medical flying is one service among several.

Medevac and rescue

On its services page, Aerios lists a "24/7 Medevac Service" and says it can fly patients directly to a hospital. The site gives no details about medical crews or equipment, so ask the company what is on board before you plan a patient flight.

The company also says it is ready to help people who need rescue in bad conditions. It describes its twin engine helicopter as suited to day and night offshore rescue, and it takes part in marine salvage work.

Other services

• Ship services such as resupply of food and spares, and surveyor transport
• Helicopter tours and VIP flights
• Aircraft maintenance in its own approved maintenance organisation
• Aircraft sales and consulting

Aircraft and base

The site names the Airbus EC145 and H145 helicopters. The company has a private helistop in the customs and immigration zone of the Port of Cape Town, which it says allows quick processing of people joining or leaving ships. Its office hours are listed as 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
