AeLo Maintenance SA

AeLo Maintenance SA is a general aviation maintenance company at Locarno Airport in Gordola, Ticino, Switzerland. It was founded in 2019, when RUAG sold its Locarno general aviation maintenance business to Aero Locarno, a flight school at the airport for more than 30 years.

About the company

The name stands for Aero Locarno Maintenance. The company is owned by Aero Locarno, Swiss Aerostructures and Valerio Caroni, former maintenance manager of RUAG Aviation at Locarno and now general manager. AeLo is an EASA Part-145 organization (CH.145.0394) and an FAA repair station (AEMY166E). Its staff includes piston and turboprop technicians, avionics engineers, structural repair specialists and a CAMO+ team that manages airworthiness and certificate renewals.

Services

Besides Cirrus, AeLo is a service center for Diamond and Austro Engine, Piper, Textron Aviation, Pilatus and JetProp DLX. Work ranges from a 50-hour inspection on a Cessna 152 to the 14-year overhaul on a Pilatus PC-6.

Aircraft and avionics

AeLo is a dealer for Garmin, Avidyne and Aspen. It installs 8.33 kHz radios, FLARM and ADS-B, refurbishes instrument panels and performs FAR 91.411, 91.413 and 91.207 tests.
