ICAO Security Week 2026 is under way at the Palace of Independence in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event runs from 20 to 22 October 2026. It is the first time Kazakhstan has hosted it. The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan organises the week, hosted by the country's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation Committee. Sessions and the exhibition share the building's Congress Hall, which seats 3,082 people.
The theme is "Secure Skies in a Complex World: Advancing Security in Aviation for All." The work follows ICAO's Global Aviation Security Plan and its security audit program. It also feeds into the Third High-level Conference on Aviation Security (HLCAS/3), planned for 2027.
What is on the programme
- 20 October: opening session, the state of aviation security worldwide, audit findings and the global security plan
- 21 October: air cargo and mail security, cyber security, changing airspace and keeping security up to date
- 22 October: workforce and security culture, the road to HLCAS/3, and a closing session called "Messages from Astana"
Who is exhibiting
The organiser lists screening, training and identity companies among the exhibitors. They include CASRA, Entrust, IAI Industrial Systems with IXLA, NJA Information Technology, Nuctech and Redline Assured Security. Almaty International Airport and Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport are the Platinum sponsors. Air Astana, SCAT Airlines and Turkish Airlines are the official airlines.
