Gulfstream Unveils First Ultra-Long-Range G800: A New Era in Private Aviation

Gulfstream has delivered its first ultra-long-range G800, marking a significant milestone in private jet technology. The aircraft, which received dual FAA and EASA certification in April, was completed at the company’s Appleton, Wisconsin facility-Gulfstream’s largest completions center outside its Savannah headquarters.

Mark Burns, Gulfstream’s president, highlighted the extraordinary market demand for the new aircraft. “The G800 is entering service with extraordinary program maturity,” he stated, drawing parallels with the successful G700 program.

Exploring cutting-edge aviation technologies reveals the G800’s remarkable technical specifications. The large-cabin twinjet boasts an impressive range of 8,200 nautical miles at a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, and 7,000 nautical miles at a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. Its maximum operating speed reaches an impressive Mach 0.935.

The aircraft’s interior design showcases Gulfstream’s commitment to passenger comfort and flexibility. Owners can configure the cabin in four distinct living zones or opt for three living zones with an additional crew rest compartment. Sixteen trademark oval cabin windows and a cabin altitude of 2,840 feet at 41,000 feet ensure an exceptional travel experience.

Examining advanced aircraft design highlights the G800’s sophisticated engineering. First announced in late 2021, the aircraft represents the pinnacle of private aviation technology, offering unprecedented range and comfort for discerning travelers.

The delivery comes at a time of significant innovation in the private jet market. Gulfstream’s ability to enter service with a mature program demonstrates the company’s engineering prowess and deep understanding of customer needs.

Understanding global aviation trends suggests that the G800 represents more than just a new aircraft-it’s a statement about the future of long-range private transportation.
