Dassault Aviation will bring its EASy IV flight deck to the Falcon 2000 series. The French planemaker announced the upgrade on 20 October 2026 at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas. EASy IV will come on new Falcon 2000LXS jets. Owners of earlier Falcon 2000 jets with the EASy cockpit will be able to add it as a retrofit.
The Falcon 2000 is Dassault's best-selling business jet. More than 700 have been built since it entered service in 1995. The 2000LXS can fly about 4,000 nautical miles and is known for using short runways.
What changes in the cockpit
- Faster processors and sharper screens
- 2D and 3D moving maps of airports
- New Jeppesen chart features
- A new flight management system that can fly RNP approaches
Used with Dassault's FalconEye combined vision system, the update helps pilots see more on approaches in poor weather. Dassault says it chose to upgrade the type because it stays popular around the world. The new functions will also help it meet future rules.
Chairman and CEO Eric Trappier said the upgrade "keeps the flight deck at the leading edge." The release did not give prices or a date for the first retrofits.
For owners and avionics shops
A retrofit program on a fleet this size can mean steady work for service centres and installers. See Dassault Aviation and Dassault Falcon Service on The Flying Engineer. Dassault is exhibiting at NBAA-BACE 2026, which runs until 22 October. To compare installers and repair stations, see our avionics companies.
