Flying Engineer

We now own flyingengineer.com (our address stays the same)

Our address is not changing. theflyingengineer.com is and stays our main site. Every page and every company listing keeps exactly the same URL.

What is new: we also own flyingengineer.com, an extra domain that forwards to theflyingengineer.com. Whichever one you type, you arrive at the same site.

What changed

For years we have been known by two names. Some people call us The Flying Engineer, others simply Flying Engineer. Many type "Flying Engineer" into Google or ask an AI assistant about it, and until now the shorter address belonged to someone else. We had wanted it for a long time, and this month we were finally able to purchase it.

Why it matters

One brand should have one home. People, search engines and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini meet both names across the web, and now both lead to the same place. That makes it clearer who we are and where to find us. It also helps the companies listed with us, because links and mentions under either name now reach one site.

What you need to do

Nothing. Old links keep working, every listing stays where it is, and bookmarks to theflyingengineer.com are unchanged. Our main address stays theflyingengineer.com, and our email is still info@theflyingengineer.com.

About Flying Engineer

Flying Engineer is an independent directory of aviation and aerospace companies: 8,400+ companies in more than 100 countries, from charter operators and air ambulances to maintenance shops, parts suppliers and flight schools. You can browse them all in our company directory. We also keep an aviation events calendar with shows, conferences and fly-ins around the world, and a parts finder that helps buyers track down aircraft parts.

You can read more about the team and how we work on our about page. Thank you to everyone who has found us over the years, under either name.
