About Yorkton Aircraft Service

Yorkton Aircraft Service is a maintenance and parts company in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. It supports the Canadian aerial application industry, also called ag aviation. The company calls itself Canada's largest ag aircraft support facility. Customers fly in from across the prairies, and the shop ships parts across Canada. It also works with owners of general aviation aircraft.

Allan and Cheryl Denesowych incorporated the company in 1989. They bought the maintenance assets of Yorkton Flying Service Ltd. At the time, Allan was an aircraft maintenance engineer and a commercial ag pilot. He saw that Canada had little support for these planes. He stopped flying ag work so that he would not compete with his customers. He then built ties with parts suppliers, many of them in the United States, to stock what Canadian applicators needed when they needed it.

The services menu covers parts, engines, spray equipment and pilot supplies. The company says it supports all AG Air product lines and any make or model. It draws on links with aircraft makers, a wide supplier network and a large parts stock. Its technicians are pilots and aircraft owners, and the site says that helps them understand customers.

The company also sells and supports products. It sells Thrush ag aircraft, which the site describes as rugged and without Airworthiness Directives. It also offers Satloc sales, service and support. Satloc is a guidance product for spray aircraft. A recent press release names the company an Innovative Aerosystems dealer, which adds autopilot and older avionics choices for Canadian aircraft owners.

The site calls the shop a pit crew for ag pilots. The team says it has deep respect for ag pilots and their role in farming. It says it is now into its second 30 years of service.

The family still runs the business. The contact page lists Allan as accountable executive and Miguel Gallegos as director of maintenance. Cheryl handles operations and business development. Tanner Denesowych leads sales, service and production. Kaci Denesowych leads human resources, administration and marketing.

The website lists the full range of products and services and has an 1-800 line for the shop.
