World Aviation Services

World Aviation Services, also called WASTCO, is an Egyptian company in aviation and travel. The site says it offers airline commercial representation, air freight, corporate travel management, visa services and destination management. Airline commercial representation means acting as the general sales agent, or GSA, for an airline in a market.

The company was founded in Egypt in 2008 by Gamal Khalil, who has more than 35 years of experience in aviation and tourism. The group's earlier business, World Avenues, was launched in Geneva in 2004. The site says this gave the group an international base from the start.

On the airline side, the company says it helps airlines of all sizes with sales, marketing, promotion, finance, legal work and cargo. A page lists its partner airlines. News items show recent work. World Avenues strengthened the presence of Flynas across Europe as its official general sales agent. Another group company, Albahoo Travel Services, was appointed general sales agent for Flydubai in Libya.

On the travel side, the brand is Wastco Travel. It offers incoming travel packages to Egypt for individual and group travelers. These include leisure land arrangements, professional destination management and luxury hotel reservations. A destination management company, or DMC, plans trips on the ground for visitors.

The site also lists international packages, honeymoon packages and MICE services. MICE means meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. Visa services and Hajj and Umrah trips are also listed. Sample Egypt tours include the Golden Route through Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Hurghada, and a trip to Sharm El Sheikh.

The company says its specialists work around the clock for airlines, passengers, corporate clients and partners. Its teams cover passenger services, flight support, travel management, cargo, sales, marketing, customer service and accounting.

The head office is in Giza. Other offices are in Mokattam, Mohandseen and Alexandria. The website is in English and Arabic and has a contact form, a news page and a booking section.
