Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. (WZL2)

Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 2 S.A. (WZL2, Military Aviation Works No. 2) is an aircraft maintenance company at Szubińska 107 in Bydgoszcz, Poland, next to Bydgoszcz Airport (BZG). It has more than 75 years of experience in military aviation. The company was privatised and floated on the stock market in 2008, and it has been part of the PGZ Capital Group since 2014. It supports Polish Air Force Su-22, MiG-29, F-16 and C-130 aircraft, and since 2010 it has also worked in civil aviation.

Services

WZL2 set up its Cirrus Service Center in 2010 and a Diamond Authorized Service Center in 2018. It is an EASA Part-145 maintenance organisation and a continuing airworthiness organisation (CAO) for aircraft below and above 5,700 kg MTOW.

• Hangar and line maintenance for Cirrus, Diamond, Cessna and Piper, including 50-hour, 100-hour and annual inspections
• Sales of Cirrus and Diamond parts and accessories
• Line, base and workshop maintenance for Embraer ERJ 170/190 aircraft, with AOG support worldwide
• Component work on oxygen and fire extinguishing systems, wheels and brakes, batteries and interior parts such as passenger seats
• Airworthiness management: aircraft registration, ARC issue and extension, and an aircraft technical log

FBO and facilities

In 2016 the company built a two-bay hangar of over 3,600 m² that can take ICAO Code D aircraft such as the Airbus A310 or Boeing 767. The hangar also serves as a paint shop, with chemical and mechanical paint stripping and livery changes using self-adhesive film. WZL2 has painted aircraft for Beechcraft, Astra Airlines, Nordic Aviation Capital and Sprint Air.
