Varman Aviation Pvt Ltd

Varman Aviation Private Limited (VAPL) is an aero-engine repair company in Bengaluru, India. It overhauls piston engines and PT6A turboprop engines. The site says it is the country's first private-sector MRO facility for both piston and turbine engines.

The company was established in 1994. It grew from a DGCA-approved aircraft spares distributor into a full engine maintenance facility. The site says the company has overhauled more than 150 engines.

The company works from a 45,000 square foot facility in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The site calls this its engine overhaul centre. The facility has a Schenck dynamometer test bed for PT6A servicing and test beds rated at 1200 KW. It also has NDT labs for component inspection.

Engine work covers Cessna, Beech-Bonanza and trainer aircraft engines. The site says this work is aimed at flying clubs and private operators. PT6A overhauls are also offered. Each engine is checked on the in-house test bed against OEM criteria before it is returned.

Inspection work uses fluorescent dye and Magnaflux ultraviolet technology. The site says these tools help find small defects in components. The company also runs a material management service. It stores and supplies aircraft parts and consumables. The site lists Rupee-based procurement as an advantage.

The company holds approval as a CAR 145 approved MRO from the DGCA. The site also lists MCCA, AS9120B, AS9110C and DGAQA approvals. The site says the company trains aviation technicians as part of its mission.

The website lists several contact points. Piston engine work, turboprop work, sales, training and administration, and logistics each have a separate address. The main phone numbers are +91 80 4115 7275 and two other lines. The head office is in Whitefield, Bengaluru.
