About The Bombay Flying Club

The Bombay Flying Club is a flight and aviation training institute in Mumbai, India. It sits near Juhu aerodrome. The site says it was established in 1928 and calls itself the birthplace of Indian aviation.

Its courses cover pilot training for the private and commercial licence under DGCA rules. They also include aircraft maintenance engineering, a BSc in Aviation and a BSc in Aeronautics from Mumbai University. Further courses cover cabin crew training and drone flying. The club says it is an approved remote pilot training organization.

Facilities named on the site include single and multi engine simulators and a dedicated airfield with its own aircraft. Boarding and lodging are offered. The site lists an airbase at Dhule in Maharashtra, a college in Vile Parle and an inquiry office in Juhu.

The about page tells the club's history. JRD Tata trained at the club in 1929. Rabia Futehally, named as India's first woman pilot, earned her licence there. The club says four Tiger Moth aircraft flew from Bombay to London and back in the 1930s. It also says its alumni now work at airlines such as Emirates, Singapore Airlines and Air India.

The website shows student testimonials about cabin crew jobs. It offers a brochure download, an enquiry form with phone numbers and a page of DGCA information. An admissions notice says admission is open.
