Te Kowhai Airpark

About Te Kowhai Airpark

Te Kowhai Airpark describes itself as New Zealand's first purpose-built aviation community. It is built around Te Kowhai Aerodrome (NZTE) in the Waikato region, near Hamilton, and sells residential sections with direct aerodrome access, house and land packages and hangars.

Aerodrome

  • 983 metre runway
  • Hangars on site, with a pilot lounge planned
  • Light maintenance, cleaning and refuelling services described as planned for the future
  • Aerodrome operations are shared: owning a section brings membership of an Incorporated Society that has a say in the aerodrome's development

Sections and homes

Stage one and stage two sections are being sold, including taxiway access and airfield frontage lots. The site also lists house and land packages, a show home and a downloadable development map showing the full planned vision.

Location

The site gives a two minute drive to Te Kowhai village and a ten minute drive to Hamilton North. It also lists flight times by Cessna 172 to nearby airstrips, for example eight minutes to Manu Bay and Raglan airfield and 30 minutes to Whitianga aerodrome.

Location

172 Limmer Road, Te Kowhai 3288, New Zealand
