About Talon Aerospace

Talon Aerospace makes LED lights for aircraft. The site calls Talon the industry leader in high reliability LED solutions. The company was formed in 2004. The site says Talon was the first company to introduce LED products for exterior lights on commercial aircraft.

The product range covers anti-collision beacons and strobes, navigation lights, PAR sealed beam replacement lights, logo lights, downwash taxi lights, wing scan lights, main deck cargo lights and flasher control units. The site lists products for Airbus A320, A330 and A340 families, Boeing 737, 757, 767 and 777, and Embraer, Bombardier, Gulfstream and other types.

The site says LED lights last up to 100,000 hours. Conventional lights last up to 4,000 hours, it says. The anti-collision and navigation lights are qualified to meet FAR requirements after 30,000 hours in service. PAR replacement lamps have a design life of 20,000 hours.

The site says Talon lights remove heavy power supplies. For the Airbus A320 anti-collision system, it says Talon removes 36 pounds of weight compared with the original system. The site says this lowers fuel use and adds payload capacity.

Talon products are designed to fit many aircraft platforms. The site says this lowers the spares needed by multi-fleet operators. All products are fully repairable and come with a five year warranty.

Proponent Technical Services is the global exclusive product distributor for Talon. The site says Proponent handles sales inquiries and AOG support. It lists regional phone lines for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas. The site has a LinkedIn page, a news and events section and a warranty and repair section.
