Sunspots Holidays

Sunspots Holidays is a wholesale travel company based in Ontario, Canada. It sells travel packages through travel agents rather than directly to the public. The company holds a TICO wholesale registration.

The story began in January 1974, when Campbell Travel Limited opened as a travel agency in Ontario. After many years, the owners changed its focus. It became a strictly wholesale travel company and was soon known as Sunspots Holidays. The company says its guiding idea has stayed the same since the first day.

That idea is to market special products rather than discounted rates. The company says unique products set it apart. Its Sun Magic and Positive Destination Ideas lines offer short stays in Europe, the United States, Canada and Latin America. They also cover some 36 destinations in the Caribbean, plus the Maldives and Kerala in India.

The company also offers Mission Travel and Pilgrimage packages. These are for people who want to help others or take a spiritual journey. Other products include group packages and wedding packages. The site says it offers land and air parts together or on their own.

The business model builds partnerships with airlines and land package providers. The company says these help airlines and let travel agents earn more during the off season. It also says the model lowers costs for travellers.

Sunspots Holidays says it works with more than 40 major international air carriers. The site names American Airlines, Delta Airlines, BMI, Czech Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, LAN, TAM, TACA, Aerolineas Argentinas, Malev Hungarian Airlines, SriLankan Airlines and Etihad Airways, among others. It sells across Canada, the United States and abroad, and says it can serve any point in the world.

The Sunspots Holidays website has pages for special packages, flights, weekly e-flyers, groups and an e-brochure. It also has a rewards program called Truesun Rewards, a page about the company and a PNR transfer page.
