Standard Aviation, St Thomas (TIST)

Standard Aviation is the fixed base operator at Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The airport codes are TIST and STT. The team can meet aircraft by callout around the clock.

The FBO is a short drive from Yacht Haven Grande and about half an hour from American Yacht Harbor. The site says the island has more than a dozen islands within a 50 mile radius, which makes it a base for trips across the Virgin Islands and beyond.

Fuel is a core service. The site lists Jet-A and AVGAS 100LL in abundant supply. Standard Aviation is part of the World Fuel Services Air Elite group. Its line team fuels aircraft with its own fuel trucks, and Air Elite members can earn one point per U.S. gallon.

The 26,000 square foot hangar includes a lobby and upstairs space. The site says it can hold most fixed and rotor wing aircraft and shields them from sun and salt. The facility also has a conference room, a pilot lounge and pilot showers and restrooms.

Other services include hotel accommodations, catering, wine and spirit provisioning, charter flights and a meet your yacht service. Customs clearance is available 24 hours a day with advance notice. Crew cars, Wi Fi and laundry facilities are also available.

The site lists Breeze Air Charters and Caribbean Buzz as operators based at the facility. It describes them as St. Thomas based fixed wing and rotor wing charter operators. Budget Rent a Car is on site at the airport for vehicle needs.

Standard Aviation began fuel operations at the airport in 2016. It opened its completed facility in July 2020 in partnership with the Virgin Islands Port Authority. The company says it was recognized by the Corporate Aircraft Association and the National Air Transportation Association for safe fueling practices.
