Skyline Aviation (Skyline Healthcare Group)

Skyline Aviation is a family founded air ambulance and specialist charter operator in New Zealand. Mike Toogood started it in 1988, and it began air rescue and air ambulance work in 1992. Its headquarters and main engineering base are at Hawke's Bay Airport in Napier. The group is owned by New Zealanders, including iwi and superannuation funds, and says it has safely carried more than 50,000 patients and clients.

• New Zealand Air Ambulance Service: aeromedical flights across New Zealand, the South Pacific and beyond, with 24/7 coordination, over 4,500 missions a year, paediatric and neonatal transfers for the National Starship Air Ambulance, and medical escorts
• MedAssist NZ: arranges care for patients from New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, working with Pacific governments, aid programmes and insurers
• Jet Charters NZ: private jet charter across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific since 1988
• Skyline AeroMaintenance: NZ CAA Part 145 maintenance organisation set up in 2014, described as the most experienced King Air maintenance provider in New Zealand

Fleet

Eleven turboprop and jet aircraft, including Beechcraft King Air B200 turboprops, Cessna Citation Mustang 510 jets, a Nextant 400XTi and a Cessna Citation Sovereign 680. The company flies under a Part 125/135 Air Operator Certificate with domestic and international privileges and delivers more than 5,600 fixed wing flights a year.

Specialist flights

Skyline also flies mission critical charter and aerial surveillance for government agencies and emergency services. It reports more than 1,400 missions across Polynesia, Micronesia and the wider South Pacific.

Bases

Whangārei, Auckland, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay (headquarters), Queenstown and Dunedin. The Hawke's Bay base includes an FBO, ground support, engineering and a flight simulator.
