Skydive Wanaka

Skydive Wanaka runs tandem skydiving from Wanaka Airport in New Zealand. Its hangar is at 14 Mustang Lane, Wanaka Airport. The site says the company has operated since 1998 and has completed over 150,000 tandem skydives. The site says the team has seen and experienced it all. Photo and video packages and gift vouchers can be bought online.

A tandem jump starts with a scenic flight to altitude. The site says jumpers can leave the plane from up to 15,000 feet. They fall at speeds of about 200 km per hour before the parachute opens. Each jumper is secured to a tandem instructor, and the views cover up to six lakes, the Southern Alps and Mount Cook.

The company says Wanaka has some of New Zealand's most beautiful scenery. The site lists a 15 minute scenic flight, photo and video packages, and gift vouchers. It also offers the Ultimate Combo Package, with a saving of $20 when it is pre booked online.

The site lists return transfers from Queenstown on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Transfers meet at the NZONE Skydive Centre and take about 1.5 hours to reach Wanaka Airport.

The About page gives the company history. Dave and Jools Hall founded the business in 1998 with a van, a patch of grass and a borrowed plane. In August 2013, Lloyd and Julie Ferguson bought the company and renamed it Skydive Wanaka Limited. Blake Mason then led management.

The site describes the company as a multi award winning operation. It shows reviews from Tripadvisor and Google. Bookings can be made online, and the contact page lists phone lines for bookings and general enquiries. The 0800 number works within New Zealand only. The site lists a virtual tour of the operation. It also says Wanaka has reliable weather for skydiving in the South Island and West Coast.
