SkyAssist
SkyAssist is a Belgian software company whose BagAssist and PaxClaims products help airlines and ground handlers manage lost baggage and complaints.
About SkyAssist
SkyAssist, also written Sky Assist, is a software company for the air transport industry. It is based in Belgium. Its products help with arrival services, lost and found, and customer relations. The company builds web-based software that it says makes airline and ground handler work simpler and more efficient.
The company was formed in April 2003 after a management buyout. It is a limited company funded by private money from its employees and a few outside shareholders. Its products, BagAssist and PaxClaims, were first made more than 10 years before. Early customers such as Swissport, Flightcare and Brussels Airlines moved over to the new company. Later users include Air France, KLM and Qantas.
BagAssist is a suite of apps for lost and found agents, passengers and delivery companies. PaxClaims is a full system for passenger and baggage complaints, for customer relations teams. The company also offers self-service tools for delayed bags. The e-AHLreport and kiosk-AHLreport tools let passengers report delayed luggage without queuing at a desk. The e-AHLmanage tool lets them check on their bag and update delivery details online.
The site shares comments from users. An arrival services supervisor at Austrian Airlines says the kiosk tool gets positive feedback from passengers. A baggage services head at Luxair says BagAssist has raised performance in daily work since 2009. Swissport staff in Brussels and Zurich praise the user friendly design and the way self-service reduces peaks. A lost and found coordinator in Brussels says e-AHLreport helped during a crisis.
Sky Assist puts much of its revenue into product development. It uses an offshore development center for this work. New functions are defined at its user conference. The company says this lets products change fast to meet market needs and stay up to date with technology.
The team has attended the Ground Handling International conference with a stand since 2005. In 2021 it planned to present its brochure in Copenhagen. The 2020 event was cancelled because of Covid-19 travel limits.
The website describes the products, the customers and the company. Visitors can leave their details and name the products they want to learn about.
