About Singapore Flying College

Singapore Flying College is a flight training school. The site says it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. It is approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia. Its head office is at the SIA Training Centre in Singapore.

The site says the college was established in 1988 under the Singapore Airlines group. In 1990 flight training moved from Seletar Airport to Jandakot in Western Australia. An accommodation facility at Jandakot opened in 1992. The college now has campuses in Singapore, Jandakot and Tamworth in New South Wales.

The Singapore campus runs the CAAS ATPL theory programme, simulator training and the unmanned aircraft pilot licence course. The Jandakot campus runs the multi-crew pilot licence (MPL), the commercial pilot licence (CPL) with a multi-engine instrument rating, and CASA MEIR training. The Tamworth campus supports MPL training with access to extensive airspace.

The CAAS CPL programme is a 200 hour course on Cessna 172 and Piper 44 aircraft. The ATPL theory programme spans 750 hours over six to eight months and covers 14 subjects. The site also lists a LEAP programme. It says the CAAS ATPL refresher will no longer be offered from 1 January 2026.

The site lists Singapore Airlines and Scoot as affiliates. It has a careers page, a frequently asked questions page and a contact page. The site says the college focuses on safety, leadership and teamwork in its pilot training.

The Singapore office is at 720 Upper Changi Road East, in the SIA Training Centre. Phone numbers are listed for Singapore, Jandakot and Tamworth. A contact form is available for other enquiries. The site also has links to LinkedIn and Facebook.
