Rochester Sensors (formerly Rochester Gauges)

Rochester Sensors, known until 2022 as Rochester Gauges, designs and manufactures liquid level gauges, sensors, senders and switches. It is headquartered in Coppell, Texas, and has operated as a stand-alone business within Amphenol Corporation since 2025. The company says it has more than 100 years in operation and nearly 200 patents issued.

History

• 1913: began operations as Rochester Manufacturing in Rochester, New York, with its first liquid level gauge
• 1958: Gas Equipment Company bought the propane gauge line and moved it to Dallas, Texas, creating Rochester Gauges
• 2022: renamed Rochester Sensors after acquiring sensor companies serving several markets
• 2023: headquarters and Dallas manufacturing moved to a new facility in Coppell, Texas, and Tekelek was acquired
• 2025: purchased by Amphenol Corporation
