Praat Escuela de Vuelo, S.C.

PRAAT Escuela de Vuelo is a flight school in Mexico City that trains fixed-wing pilots from zero to commercial pilot. It is authorised by Mexico's civil aviation agency, the AFAC (school L-60), and has trained pilots for more than 20 years.

Courses

• Zero to Commercial: one programme that takes a student with no experience to an airline commercial pilot licence, with a single enrolment, one medical exam, one flight permit and one licence payment. It takes about 2 to 3 years depending on how often the student flies.
• Private Pilot: the first licence
• Commercial Pilot: for private pilots ready for the next step

Fleet

The school owns more than 20 aircraft:

• 15 Piper PA-28 Cherokee and 1 Piper PA-28-200 Arrow
• 5 Cessna 150
• Twins for the multi-engine and instrument phase: Piper PA-34-200 Seneca, PA-23-160 Geronimo, PA-23-150 Apache and Cessna 320

Simulators

Simulators are part of the AFAC-approved training: Cirrus II and Cirrus III, a Redbird motion simulator for instrument training, Boeing 737 NG, Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus A320 and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner simulator.

Locations

• Mexico City: theory and all simulators, at Congreso 306, Col. Federal, three blocks from Metro Hangares
• Querétaro: theory and real flying from Hangar 42 at Querétaro International Airport
• Puebla: flight base at Puebla International Airport
• Atizapán: theory, Cirrus II and Boeing 737 simulators and first visual flight hours at Atizapán de Zaragoza aerodrome, Hangar S-3
