Pinnacle Aviation

Pinnacle Aviation is a business aviation company at Scottsdale Airport, Arizona. It was started in 1988 by Curt Pavlicek, a corporate pilot, as an aircraft sales and acquisitions firm. Today it runs four companies under one roof: aircraft sales and acquisitions, aircraft management, charter and maintenance. It also has operations in Hawaii and Colorado.

• Aircraft sales and acquisitions: more than 35 years of deals from turboprops to Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft, with in house maintenance staff to check aircraft condition and records
• Charter: an FAA charter certificate for worldwide flights, with a fleet of eight business jets based in Scottsdale
• Aircraft management: crew staffing, maintenance, accounting, budgets and insurance for owners
• Maintenance: engines, airframes and avionics, 24/7, with technicians averaging more than 20 years on business jets. The company gained Part 145 repair station certification in 2025

• Empty leg flights and event hire of its West hangar at Scottsdale Airport

Safety and ratings

The company says its charter business is the largest in Arizona and holds IS-BAO registration, ARGUS Platinum rating, Wyvern registered operator status and Air Charter Safety Foundation membership. Pilots train at the top simulator centres and many come from military or airline backgrounds.
