Pacific Rim Aviation

Pacific Rim Aviation Academy is a flight school located at Pitt Meadows Regional Airport in British Columbia, Canada. The school trains pilots at all stages, from hobby flyers to people who want to become professional pilots. It serves local students and international students who want to learn to fly or advance their skills in aviation.

The academy runs a range of flight training programs. Students can earn a Recreational Pilot Permit, Private Pilot Licence, or Commercial Pilot Licence. The school also offers advanced ratings. These include Night Rating, Single Engine Instrument Rating, and Instructor Rating. Ground school courses are available to support flight students. The school also provides Multi and Multi IFR training for pilots who need multi engine and instrument skills.

The training fleet includes four Cessna 172 aircraft. One Cessna 172N has a G500 glass cockpit and GTN650 navigator. Another Cessna 172N features a G3X Touch display, GTN 750Xi, dual GI 275 flight instruments, and additional Garmin equipment. Students also train in a Precision Flight Controls MFD Simulator with a wide field of view. This simulator helps students practice flying procedures in a controlled setting before they fly the actual aircraft.

The school runs an Aircraft Maintenance Organization at Pitt Meadows Airport. This team maintains the training fleet and offers maintenance services for privately owned aircraft. Regular upkeep helps keep all operations safe and reliable for students and aircraft owners.

Pacific Rim Aviation Academy is regulated by the Private Training Institutions Branch of the British Columbia Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills. The school holds EQA and Designated Learning Institution status. It welcomes students from other countries and offers resources about language requirements, student visas, and working in Canada after training.

The school uses Flight Schedule Pro for flight bookings. It offers introductory flights for people who want to try flying before signing up for a full program. Students can also book written exams through the academy. Gift certificates are available for those who want to give flight experiences to others.
