Minor Rubber Co Inc

Minor Rubber Company is a family-owned manufacturer of molded and extruded rubber components, founded in 1914 and based at 49 Ackerman Street in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The company traces its origins to the Alling Rubber Company, a seller of rubber factory and mill supplies. Charles W. Humphreys, who worked for Alling, purchased the Newark location and opened Minor Rubber, and the business has stayed family-owned and operated since. It began by attaching couplings to hose and later added rubber matting, gaskets and washers before moving into defense work in World War II and the aerospace and electronics industries in the 1950s and 1960s.
