MHS Aviation Berhad

MHS Aviation Berhad is a Malaysian helicopter operator with its corporate office in Shah Alam, Selangor. It began as Malaysian Helicopter Services and started operations in 1983. Its main activity is air transportation for major oil and gas companies, alongside private charter, search and rescue, emergency medical services, training, and engineering and technical services.

Services

• Contracted flight services, mainly offshore transport for oil and gas customers
• Ad-hoc charter: helicopter shuttles, pipeline inspections and aerial work such as property inspections, filming and aerial surveys
• Emergency medical air transport in Malaysia, especially in Sabah and Sarawak where many areas are hard to reach by road
• Search and rescue, plus training and engineering support

Past charter and aerial work customers named on the site include PETRONAS Gas Berhad, PS Pipeline, BBC Studios Natural History Unit, Formula One Management and Mercy Malaysia.

Fleet and bases

The fleet page lists three Airbus AS332L2, four Sikorsky S76C and five Airbus H225 helicopters, maintained by MHS engineers. The fleet is almost entirely twin-engine, flown by two pilots at all times. Since 1983 MHS has also operated the Sikorsky S61N and several S76 variants for offshore work.

Operating bases in Malaysia are Miri Airport in Sarawak, UniKL MIAT in Sepang and Labuan Airport in Sabah. Other domestic bases include Kuala Terengganu, Kota Bharu, Kerteh, Penang, Subang, Kuching, Bintulu and Kota Kinabalu. Overseas, MHS has flown from Macae in Brazil, Nouakchott, Turkmenbashi, Banda Aceh and Kanbauk, and has worked in Sudan, Cambodia, Nepal and Timor Leste.
