Instrument Specialties Company, Inc. (INSCO) designs and manufactures instruments, display components and control devices for advanced commercial and military systems, including aircraft. AeroPanel alliance

INSCO and AeroPanel operate as separate, independently run companies with certain common ownership. Since January 1999 they have worked under a facilities sharing agreement, with manufacturing centered in a single 30,000 square foot building on about two and a half acres in Boonton, New Jersey. AeroPanel, established in 1985, began in Houston, Texas, where its headquarters remain.

AeroPanel product lines

• Integrated control panels: integrally illuminated light plates used in aircraft flight control systems, built and qualified to MIL-DTL-7788, DO-160 or customer specifications
• Control panel assemblies that combine control panels with working hardware
• Integrated switch panels: bezel or keyboard style flight deck units with tactile switches, which can include annunciators, ambient light sensors and alphanumeric displays
• Electroluminescent panels for commercial and military use
• Laser etched dials and panels

Standards and platforms

Solder workmanship is performed to IPC J-STD-001, with acceptance to IPC A-610 and wire and harness acceptance to IPC A-620.
