Hong Kong International Aviation Academy

The Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, or HKIAA, is an aviation training academy on the campus of Hong Kong International Airport. The Airport Authority Hong Kong set it up in 2016. The site describes it as the first civil aviation academy in Hong Kong.

The academy is at 13 Cheong Tat Road, Hong Kong International Airport. Its campus has classrooms, a lounge, an ICAO classroom and a flight training centre. The site also lists an aviation security training facility and an air traffic control simulator.

The academy runs five training centres. These cover air traffic management, airport operations and crisis management, aviation security and safety, flight training and engineering, and foundation and academic programmes.

Programmes include a Diploma in Aviation Operations, a BSc (Hons) Aviation Management run with Coventry University, and an Advanced Master in Aviation Safety Management run with ENAC. The site also lists a 14 month Cadet Pilot Programme and a 15 month Professional Diploma in Aviation Management.

The site says the Advanced Master in Aviation Safety Management is a 20 month part time programme. The Advanced Master in Air Transport Management is an 18 month part time course. Both are offered with ENAC in Hong Kong.

The academy offers services such as an airside driving examination, an airside driving qualification scheme and flight crew licence examinations. The site says its air traffic courses are ICAO compliant. It says instructors include veteran professionals from Hong Kong International Airport.
