GMR Aerocity Hyderabad is a business district inside the Hyderabad International Airport campus in India. It covers 1,500 acres. The site calls it a business hub with mixed-use zones that companies can lease. The zones include offices, education, healthcare, retail, hotels, industry and logistics.
The offer starts with office space. The Business Park has multi-tenant buildings and corporate campus space in low-density layouts. The company says the design aims for cost efficiency and an eco-sensible setting.
The institutional campuses have two parts. EduSphere offers plots of flexible sizes where schools and universities can build. Health Sphere is planned as a hub for healthcare providers from many countries.
Retail and entertainment sit in a project called GMR Interchange. It mixes shops, food, fun and entertainment. A June 2023 news item calls it the first experiential retail concept of its kind in India. A hospitality district is also in development for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions, known as MICE. An exhibition and convention centre is part of the plan.
The industrial side is GMR Aerospace and Industrial Park. It has over 200 acres set aside as a multi-product special economic zone, or SEZ. It also has 77 acres of domestic tariff area land. A 66-acre logistics park is already running. GMR also describes a logistics zone with a cargo village, fulfilment centres and a future logistics park.
News on the site includes several aviation items. GMR Hyderabad Aviation SEZ signed an MRO deal with Safran in July 2023. MRO means maintenance, repair and overhaul. In January 2024 the GMR School of Aviation was launched in the park. TechnipFMC also broke ground on a future energy initiative there that month.
