About Empyreal Galaxy

Empyreal Galaxy is a company that designs and builds lighter-than-air platforms in India. The site gives its location as Mumbai, Maharashtra. The platforms include tethered aerostats, airships and high-altitude systems. The company says they can stay aloft for days, weeks and months.

The site says the company's components have been supplied to the Indian Air Force, under a purchase order in 2025. The site also says its platforms have flown for the Ahmedabad City Police and the Kerala Forest Department.

Tethered aerostats are the platform the site describes as flying now. The site says they hold position from hundreds of metres up to about a kilometre, and that they have flown for government users since 2024. They can carry cameras, radios, radars and sensors, powered through the tether.

The site labels the airship as in design. It says airships are built for regional surveillance and communications, with cargo modules planned later. A propelled test article has flown at the company's Nashik works.

High-altitude platforms are at the concept and design stage. The site says they would fly around 20 kilometres up, for months at a time, carrying communication relays and wide area observation payloads. The site says these platforms have not flown yet.

The site describes one engineering family of envelopes, tethers, moorings and ground stations for all three platform classes. The site has a footage section with demonstration flights, including a feed from the Kerala forest site in November 2024 and an overhead surveillance demonstration for the Ahmedabad police.
