Cirrus SR22 G6 fleet

The academy's training facilities page describes the Cirrus SR22 G6 as the backbone of its fleet. The page gives the fleet as 22 SR22 G6 aircraft in one place and 20 in another, alongside 5 Diamond DA42 NG twins and 2 GB1 GameBird aerobatic aircraft for upset prevention and recovery training, 27 aircraft in all. Cadets start with two weeks of classroom instruction on the SR22 G6, followed by more than 196 hours of simulator and aircraft flying before the commercial pilot licence skills test. The fleet is maintained in the academy's own hangar, which has a paint shop, composite workshop and avionics workshop. The academy trains its own cadets only; it does not offer Cirrus courses to private pilots.
