Dream Flights

Dream Flights is a charity based in Carson City, Nevada. It gives flights in vintage Stearman biplanes to military veterans, senior living residents, and others. Its registered address is 1894 East William Street in Carson City. The site lists it as a 501(c)(3) organization.

The founder and president is Darryl Fisher, who is also a pilot. Merilyn Chaffee is vice president of operations. Brian Corbett is the partnerships coordinator. Wendy D'Alessandro handles public relations for the group.

The site says the group creates flight experiences for military heroes as thanks for their service. Each year, the group also travels across the country to senior living communities. The site describes a 15 minute flight in a WWII era Stearman biplane.

The fleet includes Stearman biplanes with names such as Red Duster, Grandpa's Plane, and The Spirit of Wisconsin. The site says the first Dream Flight was given in the Red Duster on March 29, 2011, in Oxford, Mississippi. Grandpa's Plane gave the 1,000th Dream Flight in 2015 and the 2,000th in 2016.

The site lists several ways to help. Visitors can donate through Donorbox or PayPal, volunteer, request a flight, or join a golf event. There is also a newsletter sign up and a president's society for larger donors.

The contact page lists the Carson City office and staff phone numbers. Media questions go to the public relations contact. Donation questions go to the partnerships coordinator.
