Delstar Metal Finishing, Inc. is a metal finishing company at 11501 Brittmoore Park Dr, Houston, Texas. It was formed in January 2002 by senior managers of Delstar Corporation, who purchased that company's operating assets and business. Aerospace work

Aerospace customers use electropolishing for three main reasons: precision deburring, super-passivation and outgassing prevention. Parts commonly electropolished include turbine blades, struts and other landing gear parts, skin panels and components, vacuum chambers, piping and tubing, and space vehicle parts such as satellite exterior surfaces. Delstar can also arrange SEM, AES and ESCA certification through independent US laboratories.

Facility

The Houston plant has multiple production lines with overhead cranes, a separate area for special projects and large vessels, a separate mechanical polishing area, a tooling department that builds custom racks for each customer's parts, and a quality control inspector who reports to the company president. The company says it can process anything that can be brought in over the road, from 1/16 inch diameter tubing and needles to process vessels the size of railroad tank cars. Computerised procedures and bath chemistry controls keep results consistent.
